==Release Notes for Win 95/98/NT4/2000 users ==
04 October 2001
What you have is the Free PiXCL Tools v4.48
Windows 9x/ME/NT4/2000 common version, with the
PiXCL 4.48 interpreter, PXL_edit MDI editor, sample
.PXL code files and other PiXCL executable utilities.
If you are running Windows 95 or NT4, you must
ensure that you have Internet Explorer 4.01 or later
with Active Desktop installed. This is not because
PiXCL requires Internet Explorer 4.01 with Active
Desktop, but because their installation upgrades
EXPLORER.EXE, SHELL32.DLL and several other Windows
files to v4.72.
If you are running Windows 98 or 2000, EXPLORER and
SHELL are the correct versions, and do not require
upgrading.
In addition, you will require the system file
MFC42.DLL v6.00 or later. This and other files can
be downloaded from our FTP site. See the FTP server
link on our Web pages. MFC42.DLL may already exist
on your system, but may be v5.00. The PiXCL MDI
Editor will not run with v5.00. Your existing software
that does use v5.00 will continue to run with v6.00
of MFC42.DLL.
Upgrading to the current version

from our Web pages, using secure credit card transaction,
